Only eight months after implantation of the Menaflex implant, I have fully regained the use of my knee and I am again running 3 to 6 miles daily.

What is Menaflex?

The Menaflex collagen meniscus implant (formerly CMI®) is a device designed to guide new tissue growth using the body’s own healing process to reinforce and repair the meniscus in patients with an irreparable meniscus tear or loss of meniscus tissue.  It provides a resorbable scaffold for the growth of new tissue in the meniscus.  The Menaflex device is cleared for use in the United States for treament of medial meniscus injuries and is not currently cleared for use in lateral injuries.
